Poland nears PB for social housing PPP
The Polish municipality of Żory is in the competitive dialogue phase for a 116 million zloty ($28m) social housing PPP scheme, IJGlobal has learnt.
Five bidders are in the running:
- Budimex (Ferrovial)
- Hochtief
- Mirbud
- Mota-Engil
- Warbud
Due to capital increases, the project will be part-financed using a funding package from the Polski Fundusz Rozwoju (PFR) – the Polish Development Fund – as well as private funding.
The government is supporting the project due to a lack of social housing the area.
The housing will span:
- 5 residential buildings
- 440 units
The development will be of a “luxury standard” as Żory municipality leans more towards wealthier residents, according to sources close to the project.
