IJGlobal relaunches European event – May 2026

IJGlobal will this summer mark its return to hosting conferences in Europe – bringing to the table a forum that will rival our LatAm event for infrastructure and energy specialists.

Having stepped back for a few years from the conference scene in Europe, we feel the time has arrived to bring to market an event that moves the dial.

And so, on 12 & 13 May, IJGlobal will be hosting the inaugural Infrastructure Finance Forum: Europe 2026 in Madrid.

To set the ball rolling, we are delighted today to be announcing 5 of the headline speakers who are already signed up:

  • Jaroslava Korpanec – Actis – head of Central and Eastern Europe
  • Gabriele Todesca – European Investment Fund – head of infra investments
  • I-An Chen – Ørsted – head of partnership strategy and origination, partnerships and M&A
  • Raquel Perez Martinez – EDP Renewables – global head of investments and M&A
  • Joost Bergsma – Nuveen Infrastructure – global head of clean energy

IFF Europe will bring together the leading LPs, GPs, banks, project sponsor, developers and advisory firms that are shaping the European infrastructure and energy market.

The first day – 12 May – will focus on investment gaps throughout the market, asset securitisation, the rise of private credit, capital deployment for the energy transition, M&A trends, digital infrastructure, project sponsor models. It will be rounded off with an evening reception (something IJ is famed for).

Day two will see the focus shift to LP investment strategies, the role of natural gas, battery storage, grid access, offshore wind, power pricing, PPAs, and security-related infrastructure investment.
