IJ LatAm 2026 – “The Miami Conference” approaches

The clock’s ticking and – in the blink of an eye – IJGlobal will be back in Miami for its vanguard conference… IJ LatAm 2026… better known to the industry as The Miami Conference.

IJ is back in its spiritual home for this annual event – 1 Hotel South Beach – where it has historically been staged, having stepped away from it for a couple of years and returned in 2025.

Today we are delighted to announce 5 of the headline speakers at IJ LatAm 2026 that will run from 2-4 March, attracting more than 700 delegates (not including lobby dwellers and hangers-on).

They are:

  • Nieves Polanco – Sacyr – project finance legal counsel
  • Neil Brown – KKR & Co – managing director
  • Eduardo Farhat – La Caisse (formerly CDPQ) – managing director for LatAm infra
  • Peter Halmø – Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners – managing director
  • Ben Koehler – Societe Generale – managing director

IJ LatAm is an established event in the regional infrastructure and energy calendar having been staged in Florida for more than 20 years, building up over that time to be the single most impactful finance conference focused on Latin America.

The event explores how macroeconomic shifts, political cycles, and evolving regulatory environments are reshaping capital flows across the region, bringing together private equity firms, lenders, developers, sponsors, and policymakers to address opportunities and risks across energy transition, infrastructure debt, private credit, M&A and alternative financing.

The first day of the conference – 2 March 2026 – focuses on regional macro dynamics, the energy-transition funding gap, infrastructure debt trends, private equity strategies, M&A recovery, and innovative blended-finance solutions, ending with deep dives into developer challenges.

Day 2 shifts to country and sub-regional outlooks including Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Peru – examining political change, financing pressures, LNG growth, renewable energy pipelines and PPP trajectories.

The final day (4 March) turns sector-specific… covering data centres, electrification and mobility, green hydrogen, grid resilience, and battery storage investment, closing with insights on how these sectors offer both challenges and scalable opportunities for investors navigating LATAM’s rapidly evolving energy and infrastructure landscape.
